Discuss the importance of memory in this story. How does Ivan's perception change when he begins to remember more of his own history? Why is it important for Ivan to remember his name and his life as a baby gorilla?

I think that when Ivan's perception changed he started to understand the ones around him. It is important that Ivan remembers his old life because it will give him memories that will help him understand others life's even more.

As Ivan starts remembering his history he gets sad for the other animals because he thinks that they lost their families the same way he lost his. It's important for Ivan to know more about himself because then he would remember his childhood. He would finally remember his history as a small gorilla baby. He could start telling stories to Ruby, and then she might not have as much nightmares as she already has. Ivan could remember who he was and how he acted like himself. He could try to remember why the humans took him away from his family. This is why lvan should remember of his history of when he was small.

I think Ivan is feeling just like Ruby when their parents got taken away. He starts remembering what happens and knows how it feels when that happened to Ruby. Now, he wants her life to be happy. It's important maybe because there might be something his childhood life, might, just might help Ivan to help Ruby and Stella be happy and works out the way as a MIGHTY SILVERBACK.

I think that Ivan's perception changes when he remember his own story because Ivan's family got killed by humans so now he thinks that some humans are dangerous. It is important for Ivan to remember his name and his life as a baby gorilla because his family named him Ivan so that when his parents are killed, he has something to remember his family. His life as a baby gorilla was very sad because he lost his family.

I think memory is important to the story because it helps Ivan understand his past life in order to also help Ruby.

I think it is important for Ivan to remember what happened a long time ago because he can give story entertainment to Ruby. So maybe he can become a really good author.
